Anjanel sings lead vocals, plays guitar and pitches in every once in a while with harmonica solos for the Toocan flock.
Rybarczyk (a.k.a, Jimmy Ray)
Ray joined us full time for the 2016 season. He has been performing for as long as he can remember starting from his time growing up in the Danville, IL area. Even though Toocan was his first opportunity to perform with a band, Ray is no stranger to the stage. You may have seen him in a Community Players production in Bloomington. Ray lends his voice to lead and harmony vocals, plays the ukulele and helps out with various percussion instruments.
Lucas got his musical start performing around the St. Louis area with various bands playing small to mid-sized local venues, arts centers, festivals, and charity events. He is also currently a member of the Little Ryman Opry band in Morton, IL. Over the years Lucas has become a multi-instrumentalist and has been known to sing from time to time.
Jeff has been playing music since he was a kid growing up in the suburbs of Chicago. He is a multi-instrumentalist, being able to play bass, guitar, saxophone, and dabbles in drums. Jeff is a great addition playing lead and rhythm guitar with Lucas.
Nic is a Bloomington/Normal native. He started into music through piano lessons as a kid, and later played trumpet through high school. He discovered and bought his first bass when he was 16 and considers the electric bass the source of his musical expression. Nic will be an addition to the band's rhythm section and aspires to strengthen Toocan's sound and possibilities.
Dan's been playing drums for the majority of his life - 18 years! He was an active member of the drumline in high school and grew up in McLean County. He is no stranger to the Bloomington/Normal community, so there is a strong possibility you may have seen Dan in one of the local parades, or maybe even at a house party or two, where Dan played drums for local bands. We are very happy to have Dan on board dropping beats for us!
